SMS Consent & Messaging Policy
Emberel is a product of Sounds & Sirens LLC. This page describes exactly how SMS opt-in works. Last updated July 15, 2026.
Who sends the messages
Emberel (operated by Sounds & Sirens LLC) sends SMS from our dedicated number. Messages are personal reminders, capture confirmations, daily summaries, and account notifications that each user sets up for themselves. We never send marketing blasts, and we never message anyone who hasn't opted in themselves.
How you opt in
Emberel uses one SMS opt-in path. You must be signed in to your own Emberel account, open https://app.emberel.com/settings, enter your mobile number under Settings → Profile, and affirmatively check an unchecked-by-default consent box that reads:
"I agree to receive recurring reminder, notification, and account texts from Emberel (a Sounds & Sirens LLC product) at this number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."
The checkbox appears only when a mobile number is being added or changed. The number cannot be saved unless the box is checked, and Emberel records a timestamped consent record for that account and number. The opt-in screen links directly to this SMS policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
Public proof of the opt-in screen
The account settings page is protected by sign-in, so the screenshot below shows the complete mobile-number consent control exactly as users see it. The box is visibly unchecked. The live screen is at https://app.emberel.com/settings.
Number verification is not a second opt-in path
After saving the number with consent, the account holder sends one text from that same number to Emberel. That signed inbound message verifies that the account holder controls the number and may also contain their first capture. It is not an independent text-message or keyword opt-in: unchecked or unknown numbers are not enrolled for recurring messages. Emberel does not purchase, rent, import, or share recipient lists.
What we send & how often
Messages include confirmations of captures the user sends, reminders the user schedules, optional daily summaries, and account notifications. Message frequency varies with each user's settings and activity. Message and data rates may apply. Emberel does not send marketing blasts.
Opting out & getting help
Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe in one step; no further messages are sent after the opt-out confirmation. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPTOUT. Reply START to opt back in or HELP for help. You can also remove your number at https://app.emberel.com/settings or email [email protected].
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in status, and consent records are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the messages you asked for. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
